The Poudre Fire Authority knows that preventing fires and accidents is better than responding to them. To that end, we have a wealth of community and education programs designed to keep you safe. These programs are open to anyone living within Poudre Fire Authority’s service area.

Our community is diverse

 So our programs are too. We have special offerings for children, older adults, college students, cyclists and international residents, and visitors to name just a few. If you don’t see a program that meets your needs, send us an email at education@poudre-fire.org and describe what you'd like. We may be able to accommodate you.

Our community has some pretty smart people in it

 Many of PFA’s programs seek to empower community members through education. Whether it’s by teaching parents how to best install car seats, or training a local business’ employees how to use fire extinguishers, PFA sees you as a powerful partner in preventing fires and accidents.

Our community is local

 So we have programs to connect people to their neighborhood fire station. Come down for a tour and meet the firefighters who respond to your area. Want to learn even more? Schedule a ride along with one of our crews and experience the calls we go on.

Our community is fun

 So our programs seek to provide education that is engaging as well as worthwhile. Our fire-safety talks are highly interactive while safety demonstrations are especially crowd-pleasing. We also host several community events each year just for fun, such as those connected with the National Neighborhood Night Out.
