PFA publishes information ranging from safety recommendations to real-time incident updates, and behind-the-scenes photos and videos.

Public Information Officers - PFA's Communications Team
PFA has a team of Public Information Officers (PIOs) on-call 24/7/365. This team responds to incidents when needed to help share information with the community. This may include updates, safety tips, photos and videos of the scene, traffic updates, fire causes (once investigations are complete), and more.
This information is shared on PFA's social media channels (X/Twitter is the timeliest channel used for incident updates). The team answers media inquiries and helps arrange ways to share what we do across external news channels such as stories like this one about a smoke alarm that alerted residents of a fire in their home which allowed them to safely evacuate during a fire.
