PFA Headquarters Re-opens to the Public

Poudre Fire Authority (PFA) is excited to announce the re-opening of Headquarters at 102 Remington St. As of this Monday, June 15th, the office will be open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with limited capacity and staff. There will be no more than 50 percent of employees in the building at one time or on any one floor. There are physical barriers to protect front desk staff and a soft barrier to help direct visitors through the space. Masks are required for both visitors and staff while in the building.

Headquarters is home to fire investigations, building plan reviews, permit application processing, public education, and more. Many of these operations have continued throughout the different phases of the pandemic. The “office” has been virtually open during normal business hours, phones were redirected to homes of staff members, and inspectors and fire marshals continued fire prevention work.

“PFA employees have been able to work in the office on a limited capacity for the last two weeks. As with all our planning and preparations, our top priority is the safety of our people and protection of the community,” said Division Chief and Fire Marshal Jerry Howell. “We created a back to work guide and offered trainings for staff.” Firefighters have been required to wear masks at all times while on duty and extensive decontamination processes for the stations have been in place for several weeks. These practices have been replicated for Headquarters.

For questions, please call 970-416-2892 or review the Fire Prevention and Community Risk Reduction page here. As always, timely updates will be shared on PFA’s Facebook and Twitter @PoudreFire.  “We welcome the community back and look forward to in-person customer service,” said Public Information Officer Annie Bierbower.
